Community
When describing Celebration, it is virtually impossible to do without using the word community. Community is what Celebration is all about. People move to Celebration specifically for the since of community, and all that entails.
The Celebration Company laid the infrastructure of the community, but the Celebration residents made it come alive. The people of Celebration are, and always have been, personally involved in every aspect of the town, as a result of shared vision of how life could be, the residents have become one. It’s a result of twelve long years of people coming together to make it happen.
Whether the it, was creating a PTA at the school, or clubs and organizations for the kids to be a part of, or building places of worship. People from all parts of the world came to Celebration as neighbors and worked hard to create what Celebration is today and in the process became friends and built a sense of community without even realizing what was going on.
Whenever it happened, however it happened the residents can tell you where it happened. It happened in the “places” created about town. In the parks, in the classrooms, at community events, town meetings, and on neighbors front porches. However it happened, whenever it happened, the residents are just glad it did, because it is the sense of togetherness and sense of community that everyone loves about Celebration and they would not have it any other way!
