In Celebration, the pursuit of wellness is evident in the design of the town. 
Wellness and proactive health management is one of the main focuses for all residents young and old.  In Celebration, we look at a persons health as their overall wellness, taking into account not only their physical wellbeing, but their entire person mind, body, and spirit.

Wellness is woven into every fabric of Celebration, Florida.  One of Celebration’s most acclaimed features is its state of the art Celebration Health facility.  Celebration Health is a 400,000 sq ft facility, and one of Florida Hospitals many Central Florida locations.  Although, Celebration Health is part of the Florida Hospital alliance it is much more than your typical hospital.  This is first evident when you enter the building’s octagonal rotunda.  The Celebration Health rotunda architecturally welcomes guests and symbolizes the organizations founding principles of health: choice, rest, environment, activity, trust, interpersonal relationships, outlook, and nutrition.

After entering the facility, it is plain to see you are not in a traditional hospital.  Celebration Health looks and feels more like a hotel than a hospital, although it can be best described as a healing oasis.  It is the goal of Celebration Health to provide comprehensive health care services in a comfortable, non threatening, relaxing setting.  This is achieved is many ways, but one particular example is a patient’s experience in the facilities MRI machine.  A typical MRI can be extremely frightening, at Celebration Health the machine is designed as a cascading sandcastle, and the halls lading to the castle are lined with sprawling beach murals and patients are calmed by the sounds of crashing waves.
 
Additionally, Celebration Health has 60 beds of acute care hospital, Pediatric care and both inpatient and outpatient procedures, but that is certainly not all.  Technology partners bring the latest medical advancements such as Telesurgery sites, universal rooms, advanced 3-d imaging, and it own Surgical Learning Institute.  Doctors from all over the country come to Celebration Health to learn from their skilled doctors and observe some of the latest advancements in modern medicine.

The focus at Celebration Health is not just healing; it begins with prevention and caring for the entire person mind, body, and spirit.  As a result there are numerous amenities to encourage all types of recreation and exercise. The most frequently used is the 60,000 sq ft. Celebration Health fitness center.

The comprehensive fitness center has a multitude of amenities for it’s members to utilize, including an indoor lap pool with 5 lap lanes, warm water exercise pool/ therapy pool, a fully equipped day spa, child care, a children’s gym and a full length basketball court, in addition to all the state of the art training equipment.

Health and Wellness are not found just at Celebration Health.  All you have to do is look around town and you will quickly see evidence of a very active community.  Take a walk to downtown Celebration from any of the villages and on the way you are guaranteed to see neighbors pushing strollers, rollerblading, and out walking the dogs.  It is the belief of Celebration and those who founded it, that good health makes for a good life.
